Elemental Fun
Plane of Air contains everyone's favorite encounter type: blowable spawns.  Something spawns, we flub it up, and poof, it's gone for a week.  This is such an incredibly good idea that I'm amazed it isn't used more in real life.

Why don't malls poof when I can't find a parking space?  Thousands of shoppers, wandering around a massive crater, mumbling about respawn times - that's the Christmas spirit!  Serves them right for not having enough parking.

Why don't stadiums poof when a football team fumbles?  That'd certainly add excitement to the game.  Maybe put some nitro glycerine in the ball too, for a chuckle.  I bet ratings would improve.

Airplanes that run out of drinks, another poofing opportunity.  If government mandated, it could be part of the Parachute Industry Aid Package.

Plane of Water uses this same technique (no, I don't mean parachutes, nor is there a lack of something to drink).  There's an event there, THE event there as best I can tell, that sets off (and poofs afterwards) just by walking nearby, sort of like having hospitals disappear when someone in town coughs.  One-legged veterans are probably nodding their heads right now, fully familiar with the concept of things poofing just by walking by.

But these are the things we work to overcome!  Sure we're sad we can't try again, but at least we're getting an awful lot of loot for our trouble.  The mall is gone, but when it comes back, you'll love the prices!

Plane of Air

It's amazing where mobs can end up, when the geometry is just right.  This situation is very %T.

Here's a repeat drop, that was stealth upgraded last patch.  Flagged twinks, rejoice!  Actually pretty much every drop is a repeat drop.  There isn't much depth to the loot tables.  Is this good or bad?  It's hard to say.  Think "Torque of the Wurmlord" and you'll see what I mean.

From Melernil Faal`armanna (Hi kids, can you say Melernil Faal`armanna?  Me either.):

I don't remember if I was taking this pic of our rare Wendolyn kills, or if it was of the Avatar.  Either way, it's a good pic:

Well that's pretty much what we've done new in Plane of Air.  I can't help but think of this, every time I visit the zone:

We've made several pieces of Elemental armor now.  Here's a sample, it's good stuff:

Trade skill made bow, from air (IIRC):

Missing loot from the Tower of Solusek Ro update.  Most of this loot, and most anything else that shows up on this page, is in our item database:

These last two were off Solusek Ro himself:

Jiva also dropped an interesting book.  I sense a hidden lore link around here somewhere!

Somewhere in the middle of all this, thanks to a constant barrage of runes, we obtained the most uber item in the game, bar none:

Finally, we can raid properly.

One final thing, before ending this update.  Many are familiar I'm sure with the Clockwork Talisman quest (summarized here).  On Saturday, we completed the first one (Congrats Biny/Cadorn):

Nice!  Oh, wait, it still requires a 100p reagent.
